It was just another Monday in the office, with not much to do. Okay...so it was only my second Monday in the office, but it started off as just like any other day.
We actually have begun quite an impressive count down to lunch - with incremental updates about every 5 minutes. Okay, it's not that extreme, but we do count down till we can take our hour lunch break. With Theresa (our director) in Spain, 8 hours in the office don't seem to pass quickly enough.
Well the noon hour finally hit & I could finally go warm up some soup in the microwave in the kitchen (to bring it back to my desk and partake in a wonderful lunch hour, on Facebook :D) Side note: Facebook opens up from noon-1. We can't get on Facebook otherwise.
Well in the kitchen area (where a soda machine, a Starbucks coffee machine, a vending machine, a Keurig and a table with chairs are) two other girls and myself were getting our lunches around. In walks a man I quickly glance at him and say hi (a normal happening around here, everyone is SO nice and always greets each other while walking through the halls! It almost reminds me of Goshen, a comforting piece of home!) At any rate I look away, continue my conversation and it hits me: that's Coach Caldwell!!! Well, apparently I'm not star struck :D I'd like to think it's a good thing.
Oh, it was just another Monday in the office!

End of Week 1
Well...this week ended pretty slow. The first two days gave me SO much to talk about, and since my director left Wednesday for Spain (totally jealous!) we've been rationing our "To Do" list!
Okay, so not to say that nothing happened. But in all honestly Wednesday, Thursday and Friday weren't quite as exciting as Monday & Tuesday - so there's not much to write about.
With that said, Heather & I did get to watch a taping of Colts UpClose. We went to it Thursday afternoon with Host Jeffrey Gorman. It was a short segment where a 8-year-old boy got to interview Coach Caldwell. He asked Coach, "What are your plans to get to the Super Bowl?" and "What's good to have in a team?"
It was such a cute interview! But, I must rub in what I'd like to call "The Most Important Happening of this Event" - Yeah, I met Coach Caldwell. nbd.

Day 2
Day two was also fun-filled!
Heather (my fellow cheer intern) and I got to ride with 5 cheerleaders in a limo to Franklin Township. We went to the Franklin Intermediate School in town because they won the Fuel Up to Play 60 ("a nationwide movement focused on fighting childhood obesity by empowering kids to take control of their own health") Colt's challenge.
The cheer girls performed twice! Blue - the Colts' mascot - and two alumni players - Tarik Glenn and Barry Krauss - were also at the event. (We would have had current players, but thank you lock out, that's currently not possible).
It was such a fun afternoon!! The 5th and 6th graders were super excited (a tad annoying...but that is to be expected at this age).
The gang after an exciting afternoon:
I also attended my first practice today! I met 36 of the 42 girls...we'll see how the remembering of names goes. But, they're all SO nice - a majority of them came up to me and introduced themselves! Ahhh...their dances are super cute! Can't wait until game day!

Day One!
I officially started my internship with the Colts! & goodness I was sure thrown into it fast.
I arrived at work at 8:30 a.m., by 9:30 we were on the road to the Hilbert Mansion (now owned by Mr. and Mrs. Lucas). We went to the mansion to look at the location for our calendar photo shoot - it's going to be SO couture! I am super excited for this photo shoot, you'll definitely hear more about it as we're closer to the shooting date :)
A little about this mansion (so your jaws can drop as mine did upon driving up the mile long drive which curved through part of the 35 acres of land its situated on):
It was a 25 million dollar mansion, built for Mr. Hilbert, or the former owner of Conseco Insurance. Somethings happened, and Hilbert was forced to sell it. Mr. and Mrs. Lucas decided to buy it, renovate it, and use it as a party house. Luckily the girls will get to have their photo shoot at this beautiful place!!
